Castello Banfi Summus Toscana is a dry red wine blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with Petit Verdot. The varieties are vinified and aged separately for 12–14 months in French oak barrels. After blending, the wine is aged for a further 10–12 months in barrels and for 6 months in the bottle. The nose reveals aromas of cherry and plum, alongside notes of spice, tobacco and coffee. On the palate, jam and vanilla flavours are balanced by acidity and firm tannins.

Pairs well with red meat, pasta and pizza, as well as cheese and cured meats.
