Gils Andrieu is an award-winning children's book author and has written both novels and successful picture books. His illustrated book, "The Lion Who Wanted to Dance," won the Children's Book Federation Award for Best Illustrated Book in 1998. However, he is best known as the creator of the hugely successful Purple Ronnie, Britain's favorite cartoon. Gils lives in Notting Hill with his wife and their three little children.
Russell has illustrated books by prolific children's authors such as Ian Whybrow and Cressida Cowell. "The Witch's Children" was shortlisted for the Greenaway Award last year, and this year "The Witch's Children and the Queen" is on the shortlist for the Smarties. Russell lives in Penzance, Cornwall.
