I will talk about the 24,000 BTU air conditioner that I installed last October. I am very satisfied with its performance, although it did not have to endure heavy winter conditions this year, so it has not been tested in very cold temperatures. It was powerful enough and quickly heated a 40 sqm space whenever needed.
There is a major issue with the installation, as both the external and internal holes need to be sealed. In my case, because it was installed above a sliding balcony door, there was some leakage that affected the thermostat, which is located on the right side next to the pipes.
However, the biggest problem is the noise produced by the internal unit. Regardless of the fan speed, apart from the airflow, there is a penetrating sound that varies depending on the fan's power. It seems to be the noise of the motor, which becomes more pronounced inside the plastic casing of the unit, as if it were a speaker.
Although I called the dealership and they replaced the fan-motor set as a precaution, the noise persists. Only in silent mode is it tolerable, and I will have to get used to it since I spent so much money.
Another issue that most people have mentioned is the limited range of the remote control, where you have to aim precisely for it to work. This practically renders the isense function useless, which is the temperature sensor on the remote control.
When isense is activated, it sends the temperature it detects every 10 minutes, and if the unit does not receive the signal, it does not work. This can be completely resolved if someone with electronic knowledge opens the remote control and moves the infrared transmitter further out with two longer wires, attached closely to the front glass.
Now it can be controlled from anywhere without having to aim at the unit.
Regarding power consumption, I have installed a tapo P110 socket and have observed the following:
- During the winter, it dropped to 550 watts at idle, while in sleep mode, it went down to 450 watts.
- In cooling mode, which has not been used extensively yet, I have seen it reach up to 290 watts in a couple of tests, but I will provide more information when it is tested in higher temperatures.
The artificial intelligence, which no one explains how it works, as far as I have understood from my usage so far, is that when it reaches and maintains the desired temperature, it goes into idle mode and activates the AI, which maintains the temperature in the most economical way without increasing consumption.
Through usage, it gathers some conclusions about the space and how quickly it reaches the desired temperature. So, if we close it and reopen it at some point, it will not need to work at full power but at the necessary wattage to bring the space to the desired temperature.
The external unit does make noise, mostly from the air it expels, but it is not bothersome, although it is quite large.
I did not encounter any issues with the Wi-Fi connection; it connected very quickly. So, anyone experiencing problems should check their router settings.

Πολύ ευχαριστημένος με την απόδοση του, όμως χειμώνα δεν έκανε και πολύ βαρύ φέτος, οπότε δεν έχει δοκιμαστεί στα πολλά κρύα. Όσο χρειάστηκε ήταν πολύ δυνατό και ζέσταινε γρήγορα τον χώρο 40τ.μ.
Μεγάλη προσοχή στην τοποθέτηση, να κλείσουν εκτός από την έξω τρύπα και την εσωτερική, διότι στην δική μου περίπτωση επειδή τοποθετήθηκε πάνω από χωνευτή μπαλκονόπορτα κάπου έμπαζε και επηρέαζε τον θερμοστάτη, ο οποίος είναι στο δεξί πλαινό μέρος δίπλα δηλαδή από τους σωλήνες.
Το μεγαλύτερο όμως πρόβλημα είναι ο θόρυβος που κάνει η εσωτερική μονάδα.
Σε οποιαδήποτε σκάλα του ανεμιστήρα το βάλεις ακούγεται εκτός απο το φύσημα του αέρα και ένας ήχος διαπεραστικός που αυξομειώνεται ανάλογα με την ισχύ του ανεμιστήρα.
Μάλλον είναι ο θόρυβος του μοτέρ όπου γίνεται πιο έντονος μέσα στο πλαστικό κέλυφος της μονάδας, σαν να κάνει ηχείο.
Παρόλο που κάλεσα την αντιπροσωπεία και μου αλλάξαν το σετ φτερωτής-μοτέρ προληπτικά ο ήχος συνεχίζει. Μόνο στο silent είναι ανεκτός και θα πρέπει αναγκαστικά να το συνηθίσω αφού έδωσα τόσα λεφτά.
Ένα άλλο θέμα που έχει και έχουν γράψει οι περισσότεροι είναι η εμβέλεια του χειριστηρίου, όπου πρέπει να σημαδέψεις για να πιάσει. Αυτό έχει ως αποτέλεσμα να μην μπορεί πρακτικά να δουλέψει το isense, δηλαδή ο αισθητήρας θερμοκρασίας του χειριστηρίου.
Όταν ενεργοποιηθεί το isense, κάθε 10 λεπτά στέλνει την θερμοκρασία που βλέπει το χειριστήριο και αν αυτό δεν σημαδεύει την μονάδα δεν δουλεύει.
Αυτό λύνεται εξ ολοκλήρου, αν έχει κάποιος γνώσεις ηλεκτρονικού, ανοίξει το χειριστήριο και μεταφέρει τον πομπό υπέρυθρων, με 2 πιο μακριά σιδεράκια, πιο έξω και κολλητά με το γυαλάκι που έχει μπροστά.
Πλέον πιάνει από παντού χωρίς να σημαδέψω προς την μονάδα.
Για την κατανάλωση έχω βάλει ένα πριζάκι tapo P110 και έχω δει τα εξής:
- τον χειμώνα έπεφτε στο ρελαντί στα 550watt ενώ με το sleep είδα να κατεβαίνει στα 450watt.
- στην ψύξη ως τώρα, που δεν έχει μπει για τα καλά καλοκαίρι, με κανά 2 δοκιμές είδα μέχρι και 290watt όμως θα επανέλθω όταν δοκιμαστεί με τις πολλές ζέστες.
Η τεχνητή νοημοσύνη που δεν εξηγεί κανείς πως δουλεύει, όπως το έχω καταλάβει εγώ με την ως τώρα χρήση, είναι ότι, όταν δουλέψει και φέρει την επιθυμητή θερμοκρασία, θα πέσει στο ρελαντί και ενεργοποιείται το ΑΙ όπου την διατηρεί με όσο πιο οικονομικό τρόπο χωρίς να αυξήσει την κατανάλωση.
Με την χρήση συγκεντρώνει κάποια συμπεράσματα σε σχέση με τον χώρο και πόσο γρήγορα έφερε την θερμοκρασία οπότε αν το κλείσουμε και κάποια στιγμή το ξανανοίξουμε δεν θα χρειαστεί να δουλέψει στο φουλ αλλά στα απαραίτητα watt που χρειάζεται για να φέρει τον χώρο στην επιθυμητή.
Η εξωτερική μονάδα κάνει μεν θόρυβο, περισσότερο με τον αέρα που βγάζει και δεν είναι ενοχλητική, ενώ είναι τεράστια.
Με το wifi δεν αντιμετώπισα κάποιο πρόβλημα συνδέθηκε πολύ γρήγορα οπότε όποιος έχει κάποιο πρόβλημα ας τσεκάρει λίγο τις ρυθμίσεις του ρούτερ.
