Reamping is a valuable recording technique used by many sound engineers. It allows you to experiment with guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, and vocal tracks through amplifiers and effect pedals.
The Palmer Trave is a passive reamping box that does not require an external power supply. Inside it, there is a specially developed transformer that converts the balanced signal to unbalanced Hi-Z for the guitar amplifier or effect pedal. At the same time, the Trave prevents short circuits, which would otherwise be nearly inevitable when combining an audio interface or mixer output with a guitar amplifier or effect pedal.
The input of this reamping box allows you to switch between consumer (-10 dBV) and professional levels (+4 dBu), and the output level is continuously adjustable, so you can drive your amplifier or pedals as you like.
