I am not a professional. I had to prune a tree with branches up to 15 cm in diameter and I didn't want to invest in a chainsaw since they are very expensive and do not have the versatility that an amateur needs.
I bought this particular reciprocating saw even though there was another one at a slightly lower price and with more watts because I thought it was a reputable brand and it had more good reviews from users.
I do not regret it at all. I worked for over two hours pruning the tree, with short breaks to move the branches a bit further away, and the machine did not fail me even once. The special additional attachment for cutting branches proved to be useful and functional! It is very important for all of us to remember something I read in another user's comments: these machines are only as good as the blade we use! We should keep this in mind when buying blades.
For the money I spent (64 euros with 10 euros cashback), the components it includes (two 10 cm saw blades and an extra branch cutting attachment) are a very good purchase. Time will tell if it is also excellent!
The only 'disadvantage' I would say is the lack of additional safety in using the machine. More specifically, it would be very correct and safer to have two buttons for its operation, namely an on/off that should be pressed with the thumb in order for someone to then use the start/stop button for the blade's movement.
Since safety in using such machines is an important factor, I deduct one star from its rating, although I do not know what the competition offers. However, I have encountered this implementation in a trimmer from another company and I appreciated it, even though it made it a bit more difficult to use.
P.S. (update 9/2024). I wanted to note that the company offered a 10 euro refund for the purchase of this particular machine. The registration was on a Portuguese site and I wasn't very sure if it would be honored since the amount was small. Yesterday I confirmed the payment of the amount. I note this in favor of the company's reliability.
