The upgrades and new features are good, but it's not like the original Dead Space! That one was a masterpiece down to the last detail. It would have been better if they had left it as it was and moved on to something new. Of course, for those who haven't played the original, I definitely recommend it. Dead Space is Dead Space, no matter what.

It is a good game with nice graphics (good remake), good gameplay (runs a bit slow). It especially stresses me out with the atmosphere and the sudden enemy jumpscares. One downside is that many times they get you from behind and you get hit unless you know it. I play it on Series X even though I have a PS5 (it's the same).
I am one of the few who considers The Callisto Protocol better, especially in terms of story, even if it has an extremely bad ending (see DLC)...
Overall, with the price the game is at, it's super, a real bargain. And since I had played it on Xbox 360 years ago up to chapter 4, I have to say it was way ahead of its time as a game back then. The pioneer of sci-fi survivor horror.

Excellent graphics, outstanding sound, perfectly faithful to the first game. I didn't encounter any kind of bug, everything went smoothly. For the genre of the game, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I don't know where to start. First of all, I'm surprised at how clumsy the character is. Monsters come at you and you can't avoid them. No matter how much you try to run, it's just ridiculous. You stay in the same spot. Non-existent supplies. I've reached 60% of the game and with a tremendous economy on ammunition, I'm constantly at zero bullets. I'm searching through trash for a bullet. The graphics are terrible for PS5. I feel like I'm playing on PS2. Nothing, absolutely nothing special. The sound is non-existent. Permanently a dark ambiance that drains you after a while. I play on mute. All the time you're going up and down with the damn elevator. Everything repeats over and over again. The monsters are laughable. Very few. To see your path with R3, you have to stop. I truly wonder about a game on PS5. Garbage without remorse.

A fantastic remake of a legendary horror game from 2008, I felt like it was a new experience; it's a shame that such a remake won't be released for Dead Space 2.

Coming from Callisto Protocol, I have to say that the games are quite similar in their philosophy, which is why there are constant comparisons. To avoid confusion, I will tell you that Callisto Protocol is a next-gen game with more intense action, while Dead Space is a remake of the all-time classic Dead Space for Xbox, which also had the fortune of being played by PS5 users.

In my opinion, both games are great: Callisto Protocol excels due to its next-gen graphics, refined gameplay, and more original ideas within the game (jump scenes, realism, dialogues, storyline, etc.), while Dead Space has some magical moments, like when you float in zero gravity.

Personally, I enjoyed both games as a lover of horror games. If I were to rate Dead Space for 2024, it would be 9/10 because it is a very good remake but not a next-gen experience. However, it is definitely a worthy game from the past that you will enjoy and have a great time with, even in the year 2024.

You can't call it a remake, more like a remaster of the original. Improved graphics but definitely not next gen or current gen. Almost identical to the old one in terms of storyline, except for some extra weapons and a different ending if you play it twice. When you label something as a "remake," it's supposed to do something different this time, something innovative. Not the same old thing. In the same boat as the nonsense of the Res4 "remake." Easy money.

The game is extremely boring! You do the same thing constantly, enemies fall from the ceiling like spiders, and overall it is so, so linear that it tires you out. I would not recommend it.

Quite boring after a point. The nice atmosphere it has in the beginning gradually weakens as it repeats a lot in what you do and in the spaces you move in. The variety of enemies is very small, bosses non-existent except for the one at the end. Graphics are okay, sound is okay without anything great. Overall, one of the most indifferent games I have played recently as from the middle onwards, I was just running from room to room, bypassing enemies whenever possible to finish it faster.

Epic amazing remake, buy it with closed eyes. And for those who played it before and for the new ones who haven't seen it

As for the gameplay of the game, they could have done better because it seems like it hasn't changed at all. However, I must say that this is not a bad thing because it's like the remake of The Last of Us Part 1, there has been a huge upgrade in graphics, which is extremely good... as for the price, maybe a slightly lower price would have been better (in my opinion). Dead Space is the definition of a Remake and should set the standard for upcoming ones. Motive Studio managed to take the original version of a game that was almost perfect and can still hold up even after fifteen years, and offer us the most honorable game revival we have seen to this day, where they even added new elements and make us eagerly await the news about the announcement of Dead Space 2 Remake.

Diamond, flawless gameplay, sound and graphics are decent. The story seemed a bit elaborate but not enough to be tiresome. In terms of horror, I can't say I was as scared as, for example, the Callisto Protocol, but its atmosphere is satisfactory. A must-buy for genre enthusiasts.

It's pretty good unless you consider that it's a copy of Doom with a lot of back and forth. Show, turn back, go forward, where it becomes boring, almost the weapons look bad in appearance, same phase again with Doom in properties, an atmospheric thriller with a messed up storyline, nice graphics and sound, very dark where it becomes very tiring and sells for an upgrade.

Guys, I really didn't like it, I wonder how so many people like it. The Callisto Protocol, which they buried and I wonder why, is number one and a great game. The little monsters here are ridiculous.
