MPPT charge controllers determine the appropriate charging levels of the batteries, providing minimal losses in their actual performance. Compared to PWM controllers, which distribute the produced energy of the photovoltaic panel to the batteries at approximately 80%, the remaining energy of about 20% is lost because simple PWM charge controllers do not track the maximum power point of the photovoltaic panel.
