The HEAD Radar 5K Photo MIPS helmet is a ski and snowboard helmet with an integrated dual-lens photochromic visor that accommodates prescription glasses. The 5K lens automatically adapts to lighting conditions between categories S1 and S3, while the MIPS system is designed to reduce rotational forces transferred to the brain during angled impacts to the head. In-Mold construction combines an inner EPS layer with an outer polycarbonate shell.

The Sphere Fit system and BOA® Fit System adjust the fit around the head, while ventilation is controlled via a sliding adjuster. The Fidlock magnetic buckle opens and closes with one hand, and the ear pads can be removed for cleaning or to suit the weather conditions. The lens features UV400 and Anti-Fog coatings. A lens cover and helmet bag are included.
