The Nikon Prostaff P7 binoculars offer 8x magnification and a wide field of view, making it easier to spot and track moving subjects such as birds. The lenses and prisms feature multilayer coatings, while the roof prisms have phase-correction coatings for high-contrast images. The dielectric mirror coating helps deliver bright images and natural color reproduction, even in low light.

The rubber armor provides a secure grip and protects the binoculars from knocks and drops. They are waterproof to a depth of 1 m for up to 10 minutes and fogproof. The lenses and prisms are made from lead- and arsenic-free glass.
