The RPM 3 turntable sounds exceptional and is completely quiet from any noise. Of course, it requires a modern brush for dusting the records as well as for the needle. The amplifier that drives it is the LUXMAN L200 2X40 and the speakers are B&W 610i, all thirty years old! (The amplifier has been serviced and the speakers have some minor damage to the tweeters from the well-known culprits, the kids). The speaker cables are black and red (of the plate, that is). Before, I had the DUAL CS 530 with an Ortofon OM10 cartridge. (That one is also 30 years old). The difference with the Project turntable in terms of noise was significant, and the 2M Silver is somewhat better than the OM10, resulting in a richer sound. Of course, it is also very beautiful, so I recommend it. The stars are only four because it has only been the third day of operation! On 24/2/20, 3.5 years later, I give it five stars since it plays perfectly for 2 hours a day. Of course, the amplifier has been upgraded (all the small capacitors have been changed), the cables are Supra 2.5 mm2 (I struggled to pass them under the floor for a length of 10 meters), and the speakers have been changed to Focal 726. All of this happened gradually. I also changed the belt and the cartridge on the turntable to a blue Ortofon made of silver. The result is magical! I can't get enough of listening to music... It was worth the trouble. However, the quality of the vinyl recordings and their cleanliness also play a significant role.
