Description

The Edifier T5 is a premium 8-inch powered subwoofer, ideal for adding depth, vibrancy, and rich bass to your audio system. With a clean 70W RMS output, a Texas Instruments closed-loop Class-D amplifier, and a digital DSP processor, it reproduces low frequencies down to 38Hz with minimal distortion. It features a sturdy MDF cabinet, LPF and phase adjustments, Auto Standby mode, and versatile pass-through connectivity (Signal In/Out), making it the ultimate upgrade for active speakers and home cinema.

Self-powered subwoofer T5, meaning it has a built-in amplifier so it does not need to be connected to one to operate, from the company Edifier with a bass driver speaker size of 8". Its power is 70W RMS, which is suitable for small spaces up to 20 square meters. This particular subwoofer has a frequency response in the range of 38 - 200Hz, resulting in satisfactory performance of low frequencies.

Deep and Powerful Bass 70W RMS from 8-Inch Woofer

The powered subwoofer Edifier T5 is specially designed to deliver an immersive audio experience, filling your space with rich and explosive bass. Equipped with a front-firing long-throw 8-inch woofer, it has the ability to reproduce extremely low frequencies reaching 38Hz. The system is powered by an ultra-efficient switching power supply and the top-tier Texas Instruments closed-loop Class-D amplifier, delivering stable and clean 70W RMS power without distortion.

Digital DSP Processor for Absolute Control and Crossover

The superior acoustic fidelity of the Edifier T5 is based on digital signal processing (DSP), which guarantees accurate sound conversion and amplification through Texas Instruments' analog front end. On the back of the unit, you will find controls for Volume, the low pass filter (LPF), and phase control (Phase 0°-180°). These advanced settings allow you to precisely align the subwoofer's cutoff frequency with your main speakers, achieving a perfectly smooth and balanced crossover without any audible gaps.

Sturdy 18mm MDF Enclosure for Zero Distortion

The build quality of the Edifier T5 plays a decisive role in its clean and tight sound. The acoustic unit is securely housed in an exceptionally sturdy 18mm-thick MDF wooden cabinet. This reinforced construction fully minimizes internal resonances and acoustic distortions caused by the intense vibrations of low frequencies. Externally, the vinyl finish with embossed wood grain (wood grain finish) and the low-profile grille offer a timeless, premium, and elegant aesthetic that fits any living room or office.

Flexible Signal In/Out Connectivity with Two Connection Methods

The monitor offers maximum compatibility with desktop speakers, bookshelf speakers, and home theater amplifiers thanks to the RCA Signal In and Signal Out (pass-through) ports.

Method 1: If your active speakers have a dedicated Sub Out output (such as the popular Edifier R1280Ts, R1280DBs, R1700BTs, R1850DB, R1855DB, R2750DB, R2850DB, S880DB MKII, D12, QR65), connect this output directly to the subwoofer's Signal In.
Method 2: If your speakers do not have a sub port, connect the audio source to the T5's Signal In and then route the sound from the subwoofer's Signal Out to your speakers' input.

Smart Energy Saving Auto Standby

The Edifier T5 is designed to operate intelligently and efficiently, without requiring your manual intervention. It incorporates the advanced Auto Standby feature, which detects the presence or absence of an audio signal. If the subwoofer remains idle for 30 consecutive minutes, it automatically switches to sleep mode to dramatically reduce power consumption. As soon as you press play and music or movie playback starts again, the T5 activates instantly and continues operating.

Very good performance, very good bass in a 5x6 m living room.
The sound is overall amazing when playing together with the 2 Edifier R1700BT Powered Speakers. Previously, I had the Edifier T5, a similar 8" speaker, but it delivered much lower quality.

I bought it to pair it with the Edifier M60s. I can't describe the happiness it gave me. The M60s are good, but lack bass. With this Sub, I really play games and feel my house shaking. And I have it just below halfway. I don't know what will happen if I turn it up more. It's not for parties, but it's for an amazing all-inclusive gaming or even music experience.

I have had it for a few days now. It has very good sound and I have paired it with the Edifier R1700BT, I keep it at about 20%, and it fills the room very well

Very powerful for 70rms, it also goes down to 33hz which is very good for an 8-inch. If you find it for under €170, get it yesterday, don't be fooled by the rms only because you might get one that's 500rms but Chinese, and another from a well-known and reliable company that's 100rms and the 100rms one hits better (anyway, the sub is totally worth it, I have it connected with 2 JBL 8-inch woofers 55+55rms and I'm very satisfied)

We're talking about one of the most affordable self-powered subwoofers on the market. Good in construction except for the front cover that creaks a bit at very high volumes. It's something minor but worth mentioning. Its bass is satisfactory for room use. You don't throw a big party, but for me, who combined it with Edifier MR4, it's more than enough to the point that I have it at 10% of its power for daily use on the computer. I highly recommend it for someone who listens to music and wants loud bass without wanting to build a whole sound system

It is a decent subwoofer. Good value for money. It is okay for a room up to 20 square meters. However, do not expect too much, it is okay up to that point.
