The Palmatum Atropurpureum maple is a deciduous tree native to East Asia. It has a short trunk and dense foliage of small, palmate leaves in shades of red and purple, which gradually turn red before falling in autumn. It can be planted in gardens, alongside other plants or in lawns.
After the leaves have fallen, in late autumn, dry, damaged, diseased or overly dense branches can be removed.
