■This is the latest version of the C22 Vacuum Tube Preamplifier – Mk V. It is the last vacuum preamplifier from McIntosh to carry the famous C22 model number.
■It is a direct replacement for the C70 Limited Edition 70th Anniversary vacuum preamplifier. It features all the performance of the acclaimed C70, but with the revered C22 name and the characteristic glass and aluminum design on the front panel.
■Features (1) 12AT7 and (5) 12AX7A vacuum tubes that are visible through a glass panel on the top surface.
■Inputs include two balanced and three unbalanced inputs, one Moving Coil and one Moving Magnet phono. There are two pairs of balanced and unbalanced outputs.
■Includes bass and treble tone controls, as well as adjustable impedance and capacitance for the phono inputs. All control functions are performed via knobs and switches.
■The built-in headphone amplifier features Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD®) technology.
■Power control can automatically turn on and off other connected McIntosh units.
■With the retro design of black glass and aluminum, the C22 Mk V integrates perfectly with McIntosh home audio systems of any era – from the 1950s to today.
