Description

The MC901 Dual Mono Amplifier is truly a unique monoblock amplifier designed as the ultimate solution for bi-amping speakers.

What makes the MC901 so unique is that it is two amplifiers combined into one. Adding to the uniqueness, each amplifier has a different design: the MC901 consists of a 300 Watt vacuum tube amplifier connected to a 600 Watt solid-state amplifier in a single chassis.

The 300 Watt vacuum tube section drives the mid and high drivers, while the 600 Watt solid-state section drives the demanding woofers.

Full power is available to virtually any speaker regardless of whether it has 2, 4, or 8 Ohm impedance via the Unity Coupled Circuit output transformer in the vacuum section or the Autoformer in the solid-state section.

Each section of the amplifier has its own discrete power supply, so neither draws power or performance from the other.

The internal, adjustable crossover allows you to optimize the performance of both sections of the amplifier according to your listening preferences.

It features the new DualView Power Output Meter that independently displays the actual power reading of each section of the amplifier.

Power Guard® helps prevent distortion and clipping in the solid-state section. The new Power Guard Screen Grid Sensor (SGS) helps prevent premature vacuum tube failure by monitoring the screen grid current in the KT88 vacuum tube output. If the current becomes too high, Power Guard SGS dynamically reduces the input signal in real-time to keep the vacuum tubes at safe levels.

  • Power Capability: Solid-State Section: 600 Watts into 2, 4, or 8 Ohms
