■ The Vacuum Tube Amplifier MC1502 is a conventional 150 Watt stereo sound amplifier. It replaces the award-winning MC2152 Limited Edition 70th Anniversary Vacuum Tube Amplifier and has the same sound specifications and audio reproduction performance in a more traditional McIntosh design.
■ It inherits the timeless style of the classic MC275 Vacuum Tube Amplifier. With double the stereo output power of the MC275 (150 Watts versus 75 Watts) and naturally larger, in many aspects the MC1502 can be considered the "big brother" of the MC275.
■ It uses the Unity Coupled Circuit output transformer technology to deliver the full 150 Watts power to almost any pair of speakers regardless of whether they have 2, 4, or 8 Ohm impedance.
■ It is powered by (8) KT88 output tubes, additionally (4) 12AX7A and (4) 12AT7 signal tubes. The tubes are covered by a 12-gauge stainless steel cover with a black coating.
■ The vacuum tubes sit atop the precisely formed and mirror-polished stainless steel chassis.
■ The Sentry Monitor technology monitors the current output and turns off the amplifier if it ever exceeds safe limits. It also includes Solid Cinch speaker terminals and Power Control.
