It was installed in October '22.
It didn't let me down in the slightest until last year when the first strong... humidity combined with cold started to slowly cause the first small issues. The past winter went by with minimal starting difficulties until it recently left me stranded.
On 12/18/24, in the afternoon, while it was being used almost daily at a satisfactory level, a 44Ah is relatively small, especially if a Pioneer radio and a self-amplified sub are installed. It needed to be replaced earlier for this reason alone.
This time I went for another Exide Excell EB500 50Ah for a Fiat Punto, more specifically with the existing sound system, to see if this one will perform at its best and how much endurance it will show over time and with the weather conditions prevailing in winter and summer... we'll see. In closing, for simple use, it's not bad, but let's keep in mind that batteries today will last a maximum of 3 to 4 full years at worst!

18/12/24' μερα μεσημερι ενω κινουταν καθημερινα σχεδον σε ικανοποιητικο βαθμο 44αρα ειναι σχετικα μικρη ειδικα εαν εχει
τοποθετηθει ενα Pioneer ραδιο και ενα αυτοενισχυμενο sub
πρεπε αλλαγη νωριτερα γι αυτο το λογο και μονο
άυτη τη φορα πηγα σε μια αλλη exide excell EB500 50Ah για fiat punto πιο συγκεκριμενα με το ηχοσυστημα το υπαρχον για να δουμε πιστευω τωρα αυτη να αποδωσει τα μεγιστα και ποση αντοχη θα δειξει με την παροδο του χρονου και με τις καιρικες συνθηκες που επικρατουν χειμωνα καλοκαιρι.. ειδωμεν κλεινοντας
για απλη χρηση δεν ειναι ασχημη αλλα ας εχουμε υποψιν οτι οι μπαταριες τη σημερινη ημερα maximum αν θα αντεχουν μεχρι 3 εως 4 χρονια γεματα στη χειροτερη!

The previous battery was again Bosch S4001. I had bought it in October 2016. It lasted me 5 years and 3 months without any issues. For this reason, I bought the same one again.
Η προηγούμενη μπαταρία ήταν πάλι Bosch S4001. Την είχα αγοράσει τον Οκτώβριο του 2016. Μου κράτησε δηλαδή 5 χρόνια και 3 μήνες χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα. Για το λόγο αυτό αγόρασα ξανά την ίδια.
It is a very good battery.
In all the cars I have had so far, I always put S4 or S5 from Bosch.
It is worth mentioning that all these batteries lasted for me from 3 to 4 years, never less than 3 but also never more than 4.
Without maintenance in between charges and without mistreating the battery.
Considering the minimum requirement of 3 years, I consider their lifespan satisfactory, although none of them reached the 5-6-8 (!!!) years that I sometimes hear.

Σε οσα αυτοκινητα ειχα εως τωρα βαζω παντα S4 ή S5 της Bosch.
Ειναι αξιο λογου ότι ολες οι μπαταριες αυτες σε μενα κρατησαν απο 3 εως 4 χρονια, ποτέ καμία λιγότερο από 3 αλλα και ποτέ καμία παραπάνω απο 4.
Χωρις συντηρηση στο ενδιαμεσο φορτισεις αλλα και χωρις κακοποιηση της μπαταριας.
Με δεδομενα τα 3 χρονια σαν μινιμουμ απαίτηση θεωρω ικανοποιητική τη διαρκεια ζωης τους, σε εμενα παρόλα αυτα δεν εφτασε καμία και ποτέ τα 5-6-8 (!!!!) χρονια που μερικές φορές ακουω.
