If a company tries to sell a product that is not compatible with new systems because of its name, do not buy it! You can't return it wherever you buy it because the replacement works, but whether you have a sound card or not!

I bought it to replace the 5.1 onboard sound card of the motherboard and make the most of the 7.1 speakers, as after an upgrade I had to part with the old Creative X-Fi sound card due to incompatibility with simple pci. I use it exclusively for gaming, music playback, videos, and movies. For its price, it is excellent and its performance has nothing to do with the onboard one. After 1 year of using the integrated sound card of the motherboard, the difference is really night and day, and the fact that you hear more sounds that you didn't hear before is not a urban myth. The sound is much clearer and stronger, with greater clarity and incomparably better surround. It also has its own application, which I didn't like as much as the previous X-Fi one but it does the job. I think for around 60 euros that it was purchased, there is nothing better.

Connected to the sound system via optical for Home cinema use, and the difference in sound quality and volume is significant.

The fact is that the sound difference compared to the onboard sound card from my Gigabyte MB is not huge. So is it worth it? Well, the additonal connectivity is certainly justifying the (quite reasonable) price. Additionally, I noticed a significant improvement in spatialisation and sound clarity in a couple of games. This might be linked to the default sound balance via the software too, of course, but it was a welcome (if minor) change. All in all, it's certainly not a must have but more a "nice to have" for a leasure PC.

I bought the card a few days ago at the price of €56. I gave it 4 stars because the software it has [for Windows 10] is the worst I have encountered. It lacks Equalizer settings and some other settings that I would like to make are not available in this software. Luckily, I downloaded another sound settings program from the internet and the problem was solved. Now the card is very good, but it also needs some settings as I mentioned earlier through a program in order to get 100% of its performance. If you simply buy it and install it on your PC without dealing with these settings I mentioned above, you won't see any difference in sound compared to the integrated motherboard card. It's all about software, you will see it for yourself. Simply put, a good sound card gives you greater possibilities to "play around" with the sound without distortions.

The card is great! The only negative is that the audio jack ports are very close to each other, so if the plug is not small, it touches each other and creates a problem. Other than that, the card is very good

Fantastic and very clean sound! I have it with 7.1 headphones and from the first moment I heard a difference, the software on the other hand is difficult to understand and in the first few days it may do its own thing (changing the number of channels, balancing, etc.)

Good sound card but it doesn't work on Windows 10. I installed it and as soon as I installed the drivers, it only played high frequencies and no bass. In some instances, it played bass but only after 3-4 refreshes on YouTube. And that's it. After the last Windows 10 update (1903), the bass never played again. I'm sorry because it is listed as one of the top 5 sound cards of 2019.

Its software is a bit difficult at first when dealing with 5.1 or 7.1

The best choice in combination with the Logitech Z-5500 5.1 Speaker and with Windows 10. The sound it produces really has nothing to envy from the most expensive HI-FI and Home Cinema systems. In movies, games, and 24bit flac music, it really makes a big difference. Overall, it's like day and night compared to the onboard sound of the motherboard.
