HOYA STARSCAPE

Designed for nighttime photography, the HOYA STARSCAPE filter reduces light pollution from artificial lights commonly found in cities. It cuts the transmission of light in areas of the spectrum related to light pollution from sodium and mercury lights. It provides a clear representation of natural colors with enhanced contrast in the night sky.

It offers good performance without color shift at wide angles. The main type of use for the filter is night landscapes, where the natural colors of the sky are accurately reproduced. Particularly effective for capturing the Aurora Borealis, it enhances the patterns of green light.

The filter is also useful for digital time-lapse photography, reducing light pollution during shooting, which decreases processing time. The combination of the HOYA STARSCAPE with the SOFTON-A highlights bright stars in the night sky.

Precautions:

• The HOYA STARSCAPE filter does not cut 100% of the light from sodium and mercury lights.
• Polluted light is a mixture of different unwanted light spectra, and the filter cannot cut all polluted light spectra.
