Description & Specifications

In southeastern France, near the Mediterranean, there is a region renowned for its lavender fields, fine cuisine, golden sun, and dreamlike landscapes. The region of Provence has inspired great artists such as Alphonse Daudet and Vincent van Gogh. Paul Cézanne, deeply influenced by Mont Sainte-Victoire, created a series of paintings dedicated to it. We explore Cézanne's studio, which has preserved its authentic form for more than a century, as well as the home of Frédéric Mistral, Nobel Prize winner in 1904. We also admire the iron staircase and embroidered curtains of the Hotel Nord-Pinus in Arles, which hosted personalities such as Napoleon III and Picasso. Through picturesque villages built on rocky hills, quiet gardens filled with olive trees, and the intoxicating smell of lavender, covered terraces with tiled roofs, and warm, pale hues: this book gathers the most remarkable houses and interiors of the region and captures the enchanting life in Provence.
