Aliens: Dark Descent for Xbox Series X is a real-time strategy game in which players command a squad of Colonial Marines to fight a Xenomorph outbreak on the moon of Lethe. The squad’s actions affect the levels in a persistent world, while enemies adapt their tactics and the death of soldiers is permanent.
The squad faces iconic Xenomorphs, from Facehuggers to Praetorians and Alien Queens, as well as human commandos and a new threat. Soldiers have different classes, specialisations, abilities and weapons, while the base can be upgraded to research new technologies. Managing the squad’s health, resources and mental state is crucial to avoiding permanent losses and mental breakdowns.
