The TSL2591 light sensor is an advanced digital light sensor, suitable for use in various lighting conditions. Compared to low-cost cadmium sulfide cells, this sensor is more accurate, allowing precise lux calculations and is adjustable for different gain/timing factors. It features a light detection range from 188 DULUX to 88,000 lux. It includes both infrared and full-spectrum diodes, which can measure infrared, full spectrum, or visible light respectively. The TSL2591 has a tremendous dynamic range of 600 million to 1.
