Super Bomberman R 2 Special Edition for PS5 is an action and arcade game featuring battle modes, a single-player adventure, and online matches. It includes four battle modes: Standard, Grand Prix, Battle 64, and Castle, where the attacking team competes to claim the treasure from the team defending the castle. Battle 64 supports up to 64 players, while Grand Prix divides players into two teams.
Story Mode features new planets and allies, the Bombermans Ellons. With the Stage Editor, you can create Castle stages using blocks and mechanisms, then share them online. Offline battles can be played on the same console with additional controllers, while online modes include ranked matches against players of a similar skill level and rooms with customizable rules. A PS Plus subscription, sold separately, is required for online play.
