Strong and good tool, it would deserve 5 stars if... the start switch didn't break after a year. The switch took a month to arrive from China. It lasted 2 years and now it's broken again. Back to square one. Fortunately, the dealership in Thessaloniki said that this time they have it available and it's on the way. Let's see...

I have been using it for almost fifteen years and I use it professionally, although not on a daily basis. I use it carefully and always with warped discs. However, I can't say that it has worked very well. During this time, the motor has burned out three times, two of which were repaired at the dealership with repair costs ranging from 200-250 each time. Its cuts are good, but the quality of its plastics is not the best. The price when I bought it (and I still think so) was the best compared to other branded tools. I don't know if I would buy it again though.

It came into my possession a year ago with the purpose of being used in the configuration of my personal spaces but also in the implementation of demanding DIY constructions. I ended up with this specific jigsaw from Bosch, after a lot of research (there was the dilemma Bosch-Festool) and for the reasons that I will mention and analyze below.

It is quite heavy (about 32 kg) and bulky (about 70x80x70, W x H x D), making it extremely sturdy.
It has a handle for easy transportation, as long as it is properly folded (it takes a specific position when it is to be transported) in order to distribute its weight. Personally, I now have it securely on a workbench, so the issue of mobility is no longer a concern for me.

What sets it apart from other jigsaws is the guiding arm. This innovation will be greatly appreciated in small spaces/workshops, as it can be placed exactly with its back against the wall, saving valuable space.

It is equipped with a powerful 2000 Watt motor. Sufficient power to carry out demanding cuts. Personally, I have never encountered a related problem. I should note that I mostly work with soft woods. It incorporates a soft start function but also quick stop, which is very practical. Its speed is non-adjustable and reaches 3800 rpm.

As for accuracy, both in straight cuts and angled cuts, it is incredible. The machine comes calibrated, ready to deliver the maximum and the expected precision in cuts. I have purchased a digital inclinometer, with which I adjust the desired angle of the saw blade relative to the base every time. In the standard positions of 45°, -45°, and 0°, the reading I get has a deviation of 0.05°!
The laser it incorporates is dual linear and fully adjustable and also very accurate (it precisely marks the saw blade on the cutting surface).

I should add that many of my constructions, I design primarily in AutoCad, for easier calculation of angles and inclinations where needed. Transferring and implementing them on the jigsaw afterwards is a piece of cake.
The maximum working area is defined at 0° and amounts to 10.4 cm x 34.1 cm (Height x Width).

With the appropriate saw blade, it is possible to cut plastic and aluminum, although this option is mainly recommended for models where the motor speed can be manually adjusted, without it being a problem for this jigsaw. Personally, I have not tried any material other than wood.
With the 72-tooth saw blade that is included, the finish it leaves on the surfaces is fantastic. Clean and precise cuts. In general, it is true that the more teeth, the cleaner the cuts will be. Compared to other models in the same category, changing the saw blade is less easy. Fortunately, it does not need to be changed so often.

Where it falls short is in the dust extraction system. It does come with a dust collection bag, but the use of a vacuum cleaner is necessary. However, in a closed space, it will quickly become a problem. There are various videos on YouTube that show how one can customize the rubber "tongue" to which the dust and sawdust are directed. Also, another solution that one can give, if it is used somewhere permanently (e.g. The goal of this review is to construct a wooden closed cabin from all sides except the front and somehow incorporate it, significantly improving the final result.

The current selling price (1090€) is definitely quite high. However, it occasionally goes on sale for around 720€ - 750€, which is roughly the same price it is sold for abroad. It should be noted that once the machine is registered on Bosch's official website, a 3-year warranty is provided. I highly recommend this machine to potential buyers without hesitation, and I am certain that it will be loved and appreciated when used. In conclusion, I consider this machine, along with the much more expensive Kapex 120 from Festool, to be the crown jewel of miter saws.
