Don't buy them! They have a big problem, after 2.5 years out of the blue and with light use, they just broke. If you search the network, you'll see that their switch burns out very often. I warned you... get something else.

I use them as computer speakers. They are superior to the Trust 2.1 speakers that I used until now. They have high clarity and it is enjoyable to hear each instrument separately.

If they lack bass? Of course, they do, but it couldn't be any different. The difference that a subwoofer makes is chaotic and couldn't be covered by a 4.5" woofer.

These are my first monitors for a home studio and I am more than satisfied....when the volume increases, they don't lose anything (of course we are talking about their category), they are flat as they should be and a bonus is the fact that you can adjust the bass and treble when you just want to listen to music or for movies and gaming, something that is not available in many other models at the same price. Definitely value for money!

I use the speakers as computer speakers, mainly for music, movies, and games. They have rich and clear sound, and compared to the previous 2.1 speakers that cost 50 euros, the difference is easily noticeable. I have no complaints regarding the bass.

In my opinion, however, the speakers do not offer any "revelation" in lossless music. Although their price is a bit steep, I would recommend them as a long-term investment and I believe you will not regret buying them. If it were possible, I would rate them 4.5 stars.

Edit: The active speaker burned out after 2.5 years. The dealership informed me that Presonus does not make spare parts for the speakers they sell in pairs, so there is no possibility of repair from them.

I have no other experience with Studio Monitors and the truth is that even though I bought these specifically for recording and music production, until now (18 months later) I haven't had time to deal with them! However, I use them on a daily basis as my main speakers for music and I really like their clean sound. You lose a bit in bass compared to conventional desktop speakers, but you gain in clarity and sound purity.

Now whenever I connect my old 7.1 system, their sound seems very heavy to me and the notes get lost in the bass, and I wonder how I listened to music like that for so many years. Of course, everything is a matter of personal preference. For example, my wife doesn't like them at all when watching movies, they sound too "empty" to her and she may be right, studio monitors are not the most suitable for movies and gaming.

However, I think these specific Eris monitors differ slightly from the competition, as they try to find a middle ground between classic flat studio monitors and commercial desktop speakers.

If you only want them for movies/gaming, I would say go elsewhere. If you want them for listening to music in front of a computer (since they are directional and you have to sit in front of them), I would say go for it, although it's good to listen to them first. If you want them for music production, unfortunately, I don't know how to answer you yet!

The first monitor speakers come from Creative's 2.1. The day and night even in youtube quality that cannot be compared to lossless formats where it will definitely be a revelation. The only negative is that you cannot choose which speaker will go in which channel.

Just listen to Daft Punk's Random Access Memories on these monitors and you will remember me. Flawless speakers, perhaps the best at this price.

In combination with the M-Audio SuperDAC, the sound I have is excellent.
I listen to a lot of radio but also mp3 (sometimes flac/alac files) and everything sounds perfect. I rarely go above 50% on the dac and above 50% on the speakers and they already play very loud and without any distortion.
Even in movies and games, it's pure enjoyment!
Also, they don't take up much space on the desk. They're not small, of course, with such a woofer, but they're not too big either. They're definitely smaller than all the 5-inch speakers, without compromising on bass.
I think it's a very good choice for up to 150 euros. I found them for 130 euros, but I see that there are even lower offers from time to time!

I am still completely satisfied with the speakers. Their sound is flawless and they fit for every use. However, if I were to buy now, I would also consider the Eris E3.5. From what I read, they are the same speakers but with a slightly smaller woofer, which personally wouldn't bother me. In fact, it would suit me because they are slightly smaller and cheaper (I think they are the most value-for-money option for less than 100 euros/pair).
