The remote control, while it turns the TV on and off normally and adjusts the volume up and down, often gets stuck in the menu without me being able to do anything else, and it tells me that there is no internet connection even though the home internet is working normally. However, when I restart it by unplugging and plugging it back in, it comes back. Does anyone know what is wrong?

The volume button and the on/off on the remote control have not worked from the very beginning. I saw in the comments that others had this problem too. I would not recommend buying it since it's a gamble whether it will work or not.

Update after a little more than a year of normal use, averaging 3.5 times a week for 2 hours (2/5 stars): It broke. One day it simply decided not to turn on at all. There was no sudden power outage (although I have it plugged into a surge-protected outlet), no overheating, and I didn't use it excessively. It just broke. Luckily it was still under Skroutz warranty and they replaced it for me. They sent me the new one (3rd gen) as a replacement, which has a 2-year warranty. I hope it turns out to be better.

Ούτε το ρεύμα έπεσε απότομα (αν και το έχω σε πρίζα με προστασία) ούτε υπερθερμάνθηκε, ούτε ακραία πολλή χρήση του έκανα. Απλά χάλασε. Πάλι καλά που είναι μέσα στην εγγύηση του Σκρουτζ και μου το αντικαταστήσανε. Μου στείλανε το καινούριο (3rd gen) για αντικατάσταση το οποίο έχει 2 έτη εγγύηση. Ελπίζω να αποδειχθεί καλύτερο.

Very nice TV Box. It transformed my old Smart TV, since it could.not support newer apps due to its old software. Instead of buying a new TV, I grabbed this one which supports all the common entertainment apps. Sometimes it lags and may need a reboot, due to occasional freezes. Otherwise, it performs flawlessly.

BUT, a big but... the Google TV operating system combined with the Xiaomi platform that the box uses makes it dysfunctional.
You can't customize absolutely anything...
Not even a screen saver, for example to set an aerial views screen saver.
Big hassle, it doesn't even work properly with Projectivity Launcher because it restricts its accessibility settings.
For the simplest things you might want, like changing the home screen background or not seeing, for example, the Prime Video or Xiaomi TV ads, etc... you are forced to see them!

Για τα πιο απλά που μπορείς να θέλεις, φόντο αρχικής οθόνης πχ η να μη βλέπεις ας πούμε τις διαφημίσεις prime video η xiaomi tv κλπ... τα βλέπεις αναγκαστικά!

On eon tv there is no direct channel change from the remote control and you have to either go through the menu or press left and then quickly go to the channel you want otherwise it turns off.
Also on Netflix I can't find some options like the series categories I have on the laptop.
On the positive side, it controls the TV volume directly from the remote control.

Επίσης στο netflix δεν βρίσκω κάποιες επιλογές όπως τις κατηγορίες σειρών που έχω στο laptop.
Στα θετικά είναι ότι ελέγχει την ένταση της τηλεόρασης απευθείας από το τηλεκοντρόλ.

Πάλι καλά που είναι μέσα στην εγγύηση του Σκρουτζ και μου το αντικαταστήσανε. Μου στείλανε το καινούριο (3rd gen) για αντικατάσταση το οποίο έχει 2 έτη εγγύηση. Ελπίζω να αποδειχθεί καλύτερο.

Very nice TV Box. It transformed my old Smart TV, since it could.not support newer apps due to its old software. Instead of buying a new TV, I grabbed this one which supports all the common entertainment apps. Sometimes it lags and may need a reboot, due to occasional freezes. Otherwise, it performs flawlessly.

Fast operating system, with a function to manage the TV's on/off (so you don't need two remotes). Good antenna for receiving data from the router. No lags. Very good purchase to turn a regular TV into a smart one.
Γρήγορο λειτουργικό , με λειτουργία ώστε να διαχειρίζεται και το on/off της τηλεόρασης (για να μην έχεις 2 χειριστήρια) . Καλή κεραία για να λαμβάνει τα δεδομένα από το router. Χωρίς κολλήματα . Πολύ καλή αγορά για να μετατρέψεις την απλή TV σε smart.

Not even a screen saver, for example to set an aerial views screen saver.
Big hassle, it doesn't even work properly with Projectivity Launcher because it restricts its accessibility settings.
For the simplest things you might want, like changing the home screen background or not seeing, for example, the Prime Video or Xiaomi TV ads, etc... you are forced to see them!

ΤΡΟΜΕΡΗ απόκριση παρόλο που έχει μνήμη 2gb. Τρομερή εικόνα.
ΑΛΛΑ , μεγάλο αλλά... το λειτουργικό της google tv σε συνδιασμό με την πλατφόρμα της Xiaomi που φοράει το box το κάνει δυσλειτουργικό.
Δεν μπορείς να παραμετροποιήσεις απολύτως τίποτα...
Ούτε μια προφύλαξη οθόνης, να βάλεις ας πούμε ένα areial views screen saver
μεγάλη ταλαιπωρία, δεν στρώνει ούτε με projectivity launcher διότι του περιορίζει τις ρυθμίσεις προσβασιμότητας.
Για τα πιο απλά που μπορείς να θέλεις, φόντο αρχικής οθόνης πχ η να μη βλέπεις ας πούμε τις διαφημίσεις prime video η xiaomi tv κλπ... τα βλέπεις αναγκαστικά!

On eon tv there is no direct channel change from the remote control and you have to either go through the menu or press left and then quickly go to the channel you want otherwise it turns off.
Also on Netflix I can't find some options like the series categories I have on the laptop.

Στην eon tv δεν έχει άμεση αλλαγή καναλιών απευθείας από το τηλεκοντρόλ και πρέπει να πηγαίνεις ή από το μενού ή να πατάς αριστερά και μετά γρήγορα στο κανάλι που θες αλλιώς σβήνει.
Επίσης στο netflix δεν βρίσκω κάποιες επιλογές όπως τις κατηγορίες σειρών που έχω στο laptop.
Στα θετικά είναι ότι ελέγχει την ένταση της τηλεόρασης απευθείας από το τηλεκοντρόλ.

Το τηλεκοντρόλ ενώ ανοιγοκλείνει κανονικά και ανεβοκατεβασεις την ένταση της τηλεόρασης, πολλές φορές κολλάει στο μενού χωρίς να μπορώ να κάνω καμία άλλη ενέργεια και μου γράφει ότι δεν υπάρχει σύνδεση στο διαδίκτυο ενώ το ίντερνετ του σπιτιού δουλεύει κανονικά. Όταν όμως το κάνω επανεκκίνηση βγάζοντας και βάζοντας την πρίζα επανέρχεται. Ξέρει κανείς τι φταίει;

Για τα λεφτα που το πήρα 50,00 € , ειναι πολύ καλό. μεταφερεται ευκολα, ελαφρυ, ευκολη συνδεση , στιβαρή κατασκευη και καλό τηλεκοντρολ΄. Αρνητικό πως κολλάει καμια φορά και θελει να βγει απο την μπριζα για να συνελθει. Αλλά οκ υποφερτή η φαση.

The volume button and the on/off on the remote control have not worked from the very beginning. I saw in the comments that others had this problem too. I would not recommend buying it since it's a gamble whether it will work or not.
Δεν λειτουργεί το κουμπί της έντασης και το on/off στο χειριστήριο από την πρώτη στιγμή. Είδα στα σχόλια ότι είχαν και άλλοι αυτό το πρόβλημα. Δεν θα πρότεινα την αγορά του από την στιγμή που είναι τζόγος αν θα δουλεύει ή όχι.
