Saint John was born in the village of Terovero in Ioannina to devout parents. Very early on, he attracted the envy of the Turks for his physical and spiritual virtues and faced pressure to become a Muslim.
The New Martyr rejected the alluring proposals of the Agarenes and bravely decided to martyr for Christ. In this edition, a fictionalized account of his biography is presented, aiming to inspire steadfastness in faith in God and the values of the Nation through his example.
