    For that much money, it could have been lighter. In 2005 I had the Uvex Felix, which was 1,120 grams, and with a special anti-fog visor, top of its kind. Uvex no longer makes helmets, but I still kept it after 21 years; I’m not throwing it away. I use it to go to work, so I don’t care if it gets scratched, and I have the good one for the rest of my rides. I mean, after 20 years you would expect the helmet materials to have advanced in technology so it wouldn’t be so heavy. The helmet is not light. That is the downside. Carbon fiber, yes, but the weight is real.
