The roots of Drambuie date back to the 18th century and the secret recipe created by royal apothecaries for Prince Charles Edward Stuart, known as Bonnie Prince Charlie.

The elixir was enriched with spices such as cloves for their therapeutic benefits, as well as saffron for its rich golden color. It became the personal recipe of the prince, who made sure to drink a few drops daily to gain strength and vitality.
