Self-propelled lawn mower with a gasoline engine by Total. It is suitable for medium and large cutting surfaces (> 800 m²). The area of the space also determines the choice of the cutting width of the machine, as the wider the blade, the more grass it cuts with each pass. The maximum cutting surface of the blades is 46cm.

What is a Self-Propelled Lawn Mower?

With self-propulsion, all you need to do is press a lever located on the handlebar to transfer the motion generated by the engine to the wheels, resulting in the machine moving on its own.

Power and Engine

It features a four-stroke gasoline engine, which rotates the cutting blades. A significant advantage over other engines is the increased power and torque for many hours of work on large areas. Inevitably, this type of engine has some disadvantages such as noisy operation, exhaust emissions, and high cost of use and maintenance.

What is a four-stroke engine and what are its advantages/disadvantages in a lawn mower?

This is an internal combustion engine that operates with an oil and air circulation in four operating cycles.

Advantages:

  • Lawn mowers with four-stroke engines do not require additional oil.
  • They consume fuel only once every four strokes, making them a more economical choice.
