Cedarwood Essential Oil - Essential oil Cedarwood (Cedrus deodara Herb Oil)

INCI Name: Cedrus deodara oil

The cedar essential oil is derived from the tree Cedrus deodara and has a soft woody scent, with undertones reminiscent of sandalwood. It has a viscous character and its color ranges from pale yellow to light orange.

The parts used for extracting the oil are wood chips and sawdust from the trunk of the tree. The oil is extracted through steam distillation, yielding approximately 35%.

Safe Use:

• Do not use essential oils on the body without a carrier oil.
• Use a carrier oil such as almond oil or jojoba oil in a ratio of 10ml (carrier oil) to up to 5 drops of essential oil.

• People with heart conditions and hypertension should use it cautiously and consult a physician.
• Avoid sun exposure for 12 hours after using citrus oils, as they may cause skin irritation and photosensitivity.
