Roman Chamomile - Chamomille Romain (Anthemis nobilis Herb Oil)
INCI Name: Anthemis nobilis oil
The essential oil of Roman Chamomile is derived from the plant Anthemis nobilis. This beneficial oil is also known by the following names: English chamomile, sweet chamomile, and field chamomile. In fact, Roman chamomile is a small perennial herb with a hairy stem and feathery leaves.
The chamomile essential oil has a sweet aroma reminiscent of apple and has a very light blue-green color. The oil is obtained from the flowers using the steam distillation process, yielding about 1.7% from fresh flowers.
Safe Use:
- Do not use essential oils on the body.
- Use a carrier oil such as: almond oil, jojoba, etc. and mix in a ratio of 10ml (carrier oil) to up to 5 drops of essential oil.
- Avoid use by pregnant women and children under 5 years old.
- Individuals with heart conditions and hypertension should use with caution and seek medical advice.
- Avoid sun exposure for 12 hours after using any essential oil derived from citrus fruits such as (Lemon, Orange, etc.).
Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
