Roman Chamomile - Chamomille Romain (Anthemis nobilis Herb Oil)

The essential oil of Roman Chamomile is derived from the plant Anthemis nobilis. This variety of chamomile is also known as English or sweet chamomile. It is a small perennial herb with a hairy stem and feathery leaves.

The chamomile essential oil has a sweet aroma reminiscent of apple and has a light blue-green color. The oil is obtained from the flowers through steam distillation and yields approximately 1.7% from fresh flowers.
