The essential oil of cypress is obtained from the needles and twigs of the Cupressus sempervirens tree through the steam distillation process. Its yield ranges between 1.3% - 1.5%. The essential oil has a yellow color and its scent is intense, fresh, and woody.

Uses and Benefits:

• Cypress essential oil has been used as a raw material in products considered effective for coughs and flu.
• It is believed to soothe muscle cramps and rheumatic pains.
• It is often used in aromatherapy.

Safe Use:

Do not use essential oils undiluted on the body. Use a carrier oil such as almond oil or jojoba oil in a ratio of 10ml (carrier oil) to 5 drops of essential oil. Avoid use by pregnant women and children under 5 years old. Individuals with heart conditions and hypertension should use it with care and medical advice. Do not be exposed to sunlight after using citrus essential oil for 5 hours.
