BLACK-EYED BEANS (LIMA) FROM MADAGASCAR – 500 GRAM PACKET
Black-eyed beans, also known as lima beans or Madagascar beans, are believed to be the first type of bean domesticated by humans in the Andes of Peru. The beans originate from America and were brought to Europe by Christopher Columbus. They are an important source of protein in the history of the Americas and are one of the longest-cultivated plants.
In Indian cuisine, the Madagascar bean is often used, while in Greece it is mainly used in salads and cooked dishes.
