I use it for fishing to have a better representation of the bottom out of the water and to prevent the sun from making large reflections on the lens at the surface of the sea. I can say that it does quite a good job. The downside is that you essentially have to try where you want, which setting, because it makes a difference if the sun is in front of you, behind you, or to the side. In some videos, the filter made the white sand look yellow. I tried, but I couldn't find any instructions anywhere suggesting that one thing is better than another. And it's not easy when you're outside and want to shoot video, to be fiddling with the rotor to find the right setting depending on where you're looking. A serious drawback is that the surface of the filter scratches much more easily than the classic GoPro filters. Within a few days of use and without the camera hitting anything, just during transport, it brushed against something and the filter got scratched. Finally, WARNING... The filter is NOT waterproof. If it's possible for a GoPro camera to have a filter that makes the camera non-waterproof. You might say it's reasonable with the rotor; it's difficult for the filter to be waterproof. But still, it is NOT mentioned ANYWHERE. The camera accidentally went into the water for half a minute, and inside the filter, next to the lens, two drops of water had passed through. If it had gone to a depth greater than half a meter, I don't want to imagine what could have happened... It gets 2 stars because it does indeed work well with the right setting. However, it loses points for lack of instructions, durability, and waterproofing. Especially the last point is unacceptable for GoPro.
