The Facom 285.6 drill bit is designed for drilling metals such as stainless and structural steel, as well as aluminium alloys. Its round shank, with three flattened sides, helps ensure centred positioning and a secure grip in the chuck, reducing slippage.

It is made of tool steel and features a cutting geometry that facilitates chip removal and helps limit workpiece deformation. Use with a high-speed steel (HSS) drill is recommended, with the rotational speed and feed pressure adjusted to suit the material. After use, clean off any lubricants and metal debris, and store in a dry environment.
