The puller is used for the removal of an XTR crank arm. Remove the plastic ring from the outer side of the crank arm using the four pins on the rear surface of the puller.
Unscrew the nut on the inner side with the plastic ring. Screw the puller into the crank arm and use a hex key to unscrew the nut that holds the crank arm. Now, screw the puller until the crank arm is removed.
