Warm, waterproof, and with good sole material. Stiff but flexible where it needs to be, it doesn't cause missteps during fast walking and on rough terrain. For prolonged standing, it might prove too stiff. I was a bit worried about the thin laces, but in the end, they were right to use such, as for putting on and taking off, you need to completely remove them from the top holes.

Unfortunately, the upper leather is very stiff. After more than 100,000 steps, it still hits me low on the metatarsal. I haven't experienced this with sneakers, only with boots and military shoes. I've never needed to apply seal fat on sneakers, but here I think it's a one-way street. At least they are black.

Edit 2025-03-19: After another 200,000 steps and three applications of seal fat, one of which I tightened the laces all the way and left them that way all night and more, they finally stopped hurting me. The marks are visible, so they won't go up to 4 stars. Honestly, I was considering getting them in another color without the winter lining (I really like the thin brown sole), but they aren't worth that much hassle.
