Description & Specifications

Blonde shellac in a 125gr package. Blonde shellac is the highest quality shellac in its purest form. Wax and all pigments have been removed. It is ideal for the most natural and transparent finish on wood surfaces. It is used in instrument making for finishing musical instruments and in iconography as a binder for gold.

Technical specifications:

  • Dissolves in 95-degree white alcohol.
  • Preparation of shellac varnish. Below are indicative ratios.
  • Thin solution: 12gr of shellac in 80gr (100ml) of alcohol.
  • Medium solution: 24gr of shellac in 80gr (100ml) of alcohol.
  • Thick solution: 36gr of shellac in 80gr (100ml) of alcohol.
