The Philodendron Ring of Fire is one of the most sought-after Philodendrons. It is a rare and unique plant with eye-catching hues. Its growth is slow, but it is worth the wait, as it can reach a height of up to one meter with leaves measuring 25 to 30 centimeters long.
The colors of new leaves may vary. In addition to green hues, the leaves can have orange, red, or pink shades. The plant was originally named Henderson’s Pride, after its creator Keith Henderson, but the name Ring of Fire has prevailed.
It is likely that the plant was created by crossing Philodendron wendlandii and Philodendron tortum or polypodioides. The name Philodendron comes from the Greek words “philos” (love) and “dendron” (tree). This plant is one of the most popular indoor plants.
