Positives: Low purchase cost, stylish, takes up little space on the counter, heats water quickly. Negatives: no matter what water I used, the plate at the bottom of the kettle turns black. That is, whether tap water, bottled water, or filtered water. After one or two uses, it needs to be cleaned. Personal Conclusion: I was swayed by the low price and in the end, you get what you pay for; I will have to buy another one to get the job done.
