Exo Terra Plantation Soil is a 100% natural, biodegradable terrarium substrate made from sustainable, ground coconut coir fibers grown in plantations in tropical Asia. The unique hygroscopic properties of this ecological substrate naturally regulate the humidity of the terrarium and are completely safe for frogs, salamanders, and other burrowing or digging animals.

Exo Terra Plantation Soil is triple washed in the washing machine to remove any residual salt content, then dried in the machine and heat-treated to reduce bacterial contamination.

The improved aeration of the substrate promotes the growth of healthy organisms that reduce waste, keeping your terrarium fresh and clean.

Instructions for use:

• Place the brick in a 10 L bucket and add about 3 L of water.
• Let it soak for about 30 minutes until it fully absorbs the water.
• Mix the substrate and spread a 2-4" (5-10 cm) layer on the floor of the terrarium.
• Water or mist the substrate according to the required humidity level.
• Spot clean bedding daily.
