Gerovassiliou Estate Syrah is a dry red wine made from old vines with low yields. Maceration and alcoholic fermentation last about 20 days, followed by malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak barrels in the estate’s underground cellars.
It has a deep, dark red color with violet hues and complex aromas of ripe plum, blackberry, and red pepper. On the palate, it is rich, with firm tannins and a long finish. Serve at 16–18 °C. Decanting it into a glass carafe for 30 minutes before serving brings out its aromas.
