It is one of the tallest cryptocorynes and is very easy to grow. The leaves are 3-5 centimeters wide with a textured surface and can easily reach over 50 cm in length. With good light and fertilization, the upper side of the leaves will acquire a dark green or bronze-green color, while the underside of the leaves will turn burgundy red. It propagates by runners.
