This succulent originates from South Africa and its name comes from the Latin crassus = thick, referring to its fleshy leaves that have the ability to store water inside. This beautiful Crassula has green tubular leaves with bright red edges.
The Crassula is easy to cultivate, with no special requirements. It is a monstrous version of Crassula ovata. It grows well as part of a low garden with low lighting.
Look out for white flowers in Spring. The Crassula ovata "Hobbit" is an evergreen succulent. The edges of the green tubular leaves turn red when exposed to full sunlight.
You can expect light pink or white star-shaped flowers.
