High Temperature Varnish-Paint 650oC

FIRE COAT is a high durability varnish-paint for surfaces exposed to high temperatures of up to 650oC. It is ideal for painting, maintenance, repair, and protection. It dries quickly and ensures an excellent long-lasting finish that does not burn, peel, or crumble.

Applications:

MINOS FIRE COAT is suitable for car and motorcycle exhausts, grills, chimneys, decorative fireplaces, stoves, etc.

Performance:

• Yield: 4 - 7 m2/Lt
• Thinning: 5% with white spirit
• Application: with brush, roller, spray gun
• Initial drying: 30 - 60 minutes at 20oC
• Final drying: 3 - 4 hours at 20oC
• Application temperature: 10oC - 35oC
• Cleaning: with white spirit or brush cleaner

Surface Preparation:

Surfaces must be dry and clean of dust and grease. Remove old varnishes, paints, and rust, and sand metal surfaces with sandpaper.

Application:

Before use, stir the paint well. Apply the paint with a roller, brush, or spray gun in a thin layer. Allow the surface to dry for 1 hour. If necessary, apply a second layer and let the surface dry. Then the surface must be heated to 160oC for 30 - 60 minutes to achieve full hardening of the paint. The drying time depends on ambient temperature, humidity, and layer thickness.
