    It produces wines with intense tannins, full body, and characteristic aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, black cherry), often with notes of cedar, mint, or tobacco. They have excellent aging potential.

    It gives wines with soft tannins, medium acidity, and aromas of red fruits (cherry, plum), often with notes of herbs or chocolate. They are rounder and softer on the palate compared to Cabernet Sauvignon.

    It gives wines with a medium body, aromas of red fruits, herbs, and earthy notes, with characteristic acidity.

Epifanis is undoubtedly the flagship of Mylopotamos' Athonite wines, a tradition kept alive by Father Epifanios. 

It has a deep red color. On the nose, we distinguish dried plums, red and black fruits, hints of licorice, and vanilla. On the palate, it has a full body, generous structure with rich tannins, balanced acidity, and a long finish. A wine with complexity and many promises for enthusiasts. Decant it, and it will "open up" and reveal all its aromas. It pairs excellently with tagliata, grilled red meats, and aged cheeses.

Perhaps if I had let it age, it would have been better! Unfortunately, I didn't like it, and I give it 3 stars only for the aromas and for Father Epiphanius, who worked hard to create it!
