Description

Description

Epifanis is undoubtedly the flagship of Mylopotamos' Athonite wines, a tradition kept alive by Father Epifanios.

It has a deep red color. On the nose, we distinguish dried plums, red and black fruits, hints of licorice, and vanilla. On the palate, it has a full body, generous structure with rich tannins, balanced acidity, and a long finish. A wine with complexity and many promises for enthusiasts. Decant it, and it will "open up" and reveal all its aromas. It pairs excellently with tagliata, grilled red meats, and aged cheeses.

It has an amazing nose with incredible aromas, but on the palate, it was disappointing; it had a bitter cognac taste and an unreasonable acidity. Perhaps if I had let it age, it would have been better! Unfortunately, I didn't like it, and I give it 3 stars only for the aromas and for Father Epiphanius, who worked hard to create it!

It is important for this specific wine to exceed 6 years of aging in the bottle.
