After about 5 months of use, it developed a fault. The red light stays on continuously and it no longer correctly recognizes when the cat enters or exits the device, which indicates a sensor problem.

In addition, customer service is essentially nonexistent. I was unable to find anyone in Greece for technical support or repair, they do not answer the phone, and I did not receive a reply to my emails either.

The only solution they suggest is to return the device for inspection.
However, this is particularly difficult, as it is a large and bulky device. Once it has already been used, transporting it is not at all easy. They also do not offer on-site inspection or replacement. You have to send it back and wait weeks or even months without a solution, leaving the cat without its essential space for its needs.

Finally, there is also the issue of odors. Although it has an activated carbon filter, it does not eliminate smells as advertised. I change the filter every month, as recommended, and even so the odors remain noticeable. In my opinion, it cannot effectively replace a classic litter box placed in a well-ventilated area, such as a balcony.

I bought the simple version without WiFi, it does its job properly, it has buttons for auto and manual, the drawer underneath is very large (13L), it is a very good investment!!! However, if I were to buy again, I would get the one with WiFi connection.

Story: My cats (2) are generally very scared, so one of them took 2-3 days to get used to the new litter box and that's my fault. When I set it up, I locked the girls out of the room so it could do the rotation as instructed so as not to scare them. Later, I let them in to sniff around, the little one went inside and did her business, everything was fine up to that point but I had left it on auto mode, so after 3 minutes it started to rotate, the big one saw this and got scared. Also, for some reason, the little one saw it as a toy and kept going in and out without doing anything, causing the litter box to rotate for no reason, which scared the big one even more.

What I did: To help them get used to it, I put litter from their already used tray into the automatic litter box, placed the old tray next to it so they could approach it even if they didn't use the new one at first. I kept the automatic one on manual for 1-2 days so it wouldn't start on its own and scare them. When I cleaned it, I stayed near the litter box and encouraged my cats with a treat or petting. After a day, I stopped staying close and called them to come with me so they would understand there was nothing to worry about when it moved.

If I had bought the WiFi version, I wouldn't have to play detective to see when the big one would go in!!! The good thing is that after 3 days, she went in and I removed the old one completely. Also, with WiFi, when you travel you can monitor the activity and if there is any problem, you can always send someone you trust to check.

I've had it for a week and it has made my life much easier. If you have cats that are scared, you need a little patience and never force them!!

Second day, I still don't have an opinion yet (I'll come back in 1 month). I just want to say that it came with ACS and not a freight company (I mention this so you know it is a light item and not a heavy one) and also, to begin with, it came with a satisfactory quantity of its own bags, meaning the ones that come with it will definitely last a long time. If you go on Skroutz in the category "Cat litter box accessories" and choose the company "Catlink," you will find bags, filters, and steps from the company.

I should mention that it comes assembled, but its box is quite large to the point that it didn't fit in the car. I opened the box outside the courier and the device itself fit easily in the passenger seat.

Also, 1 of my 2 cats still hasn't gone in to do its business (it's scared). However, that's my fault because first of all, I connected it and let the device do a control cycle, which it does in the first few minutes, and that scared it... while the other one, which wasn't in front of it, goes in normally but doesn't use it as its main litter box yet. For that reason, in my opinion, when you connect it, the cat shouldn't be in front of it, and at first you should still have its old litter box there.

EDIT 2: everything is fine now, except that when the bag fills to 20%, the smells start in the room! I thought I would avoid that, but no. It has some filter inside, but I don't see it doing anything..

EDIT 3: I'm coming back after months with 2 negatives. First of all, if your cat's poop smells, even if it goes into the electric bin, the room will still smell; unfortunately, as I mentioned before, it does not trap odors if there is an issue. But okay, let's say at least you avoid cleaning every day and it pays for itself. Today, however, while I still have the plastic one on the other side of the room, one of my cats smelled the electric one a little (spotlessly clean at that moment, both inside and in the bin) and immediately went to the old plastic one and did it there! I was completely disappointed.

However, to be fair to the company, everything about it is excellent, both the build and everything else! In fact, in response to a question I had, the company itself, in a post in the Facebook group I made, rushed to help me immediately and even asked me the next day if everything was going well.

Edit 2/05/2026 I'm back after months:

my 2 cats have grown (they eat a bit more too) and now they barely fit in there, I can see them struggling. I also bought them a stainless steel XXL open one, and I can see that they prefer to go there. The last negative is that, as I said above, you don't avoid smells 100%; unfortunately, even if you change bags regularly and clean it with a cloth inside, for some reason a smell remains! In fact, when I wash it, the base, which is not washable, still smells even after chlorine spray or anything else I have tried; for some reason the smell remains permanent! Of course, you only notice it when you get very close to it and try to smell it..

Edit: 6/24/2026: months later, I have to say that I also got a stainless open one and my 2 cats prefer that one. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought the electric one, since cleaning it requires time and effort

It is the most practical gift I have received after a lot of searching and reading reviews. I have had it for almost three months. We have 3 cats (the heaviest is 4 kg) exclusively indoors. It replaced the three litter boxes we had before, and I was thinking we needed a fourth. The smell of the house has changed, and I have forgotten what it is like to have to clean every little while. In the first hour we set it up, the most timid cat we have was the first to go in. The installation was very simple. You just plug it in, and it does the first cycle by itself. The instructions were in English and are easy to follow. For the first two days, until they got used to it, I had it in manual mode, which I pressed to turn it, so I could be close by because they were scared during each cleaning. From the third day, I set it to auto, and I have it start ten minutes after a cat exits. It has an option to choose whether you want it to clean after it senses weight for 3, 5, or 10 minutes. It does not have a photo sensor, but it feels the weight if a cat enters during the cycle, it stops automatically until the cat exits, and then it continues. It came with bags, but I haven't looked for replacements when they run out. I haven't tried to put another bag in. When the bag in the drawer at the bottom fills up, a red light turns on. I change the bag about twice a week with the 3 cats. The only small negative is that sometimes sand falls on the sides of the drawer and fills the bottom. It saves on litter. I used to buy Everclean because it was the only one that somewhat contained the odors, and today I started trying Sanicat. I think it needs some litter that clumps quickly but doesn't leave too much dust. It does not have an app, which I read the next model has, but I don't think it's necessary. You can disassemble it to wash some parts with water, but I haven't done that yet. According to the instructions, you can also clean it with a wet wipe locally. They suggest taking the filter out of the drawer once a month to sun it and changing it every two months. I haven't found a replacement for the filter. I hope I helped.
