The Alta Labs S8 managed Layer 2 switch connects devices through 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 4 of which support PoE+. The total available PoE power is 60 W, with up to 30 W per PoE port, to power compatible devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones, and access points. It can be placed on a desk or mounted on a wall, and configured via Bluetooth using the Alta Labs app or through a browser.

Cloud management includes inbound and outbound traffic limiting per connection, a customizable dashboard, and multi-site management. The app displays connection information and device settings, while the software updates automatically. It has low power consumption.
