The Hertz HMS10B round marine speaker is designed and tested for use in marine environments, with exposure to UV radiation, salt spray, vibration, water splashes, thermal shock, and dust. The woofer features a polypropylene cone with UV inhibitors and a Santoprene surround, while the 50 mm (2") voice coil is designed for infinite-baffle applications.

The aramid-fiber spider and silicone-insulated connection leads contribute to reliable operation. The FEM-optimized, long-excursion moving system is driven by a magnetic system housed in a marine-grade polymer basket. The gold-plated brass terminals are corrosion-resistant and protected by a silicone cover where the wires connect.
